I am so in love with sago drinks and fruit drinks…this one is at the top of my list!
Well…a few more are also at the top like che thai, strawberry sago, mango bango, avocado sago, and mais co yelo or cantaloupe melon juice with added tapioca balls! Ok, I guess that is more than a few!!
I don’t think anything can be better than drinks with texture contrast like creamy milks with jellies, sago, halo halo ingredients, or fruits that go from sour to sweet. I even love the fizzy, creamy drinks like watermelon hwachae on Summer nights.
So if you ask me, I am the girl that is a punchbowl beverage fan. Anything to draw in the crowd, neighbors, or just having it for my family as a fun treat. I eat with my eyes…so fruit sago and the like is my jam!
What is Mixed Fruit Sago
Mixed fruit sago is a smorgasbord of fruit, preferably fresh fruits, mixed with chewy and delicious sago or tapioca pearls. Mix in lots of crushed ice and milks of choice, it’s a natural, delicious, and healthier dessert drink that satisfies in everyway.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup raspberries – whole
- 3/4 cup cut green grapes – sliced
- 3/4 cup yellow mangoes – cubed
- 3/4 cup banana – sliced
- 3/4 cup cooked tapioca pearls – sago or tapioca, small or big pearls; follow package instructions
- 4 cups crushed ice – doesn’t need to be super crushed so it doesn’t dilute the drink
- 2 cups Plant milk of choice (coconut, almond, oat) – Any milk of choice is fine
- 4 tbsp condensed milk – regular or vegan condensed milk
Equipment
- Cutting Board
- Knife
- Big Bowl
- Serving ladle
- Tall glasses and spoons
Instructions
- Make the tapioca per the package instructions and set aside.
- Slice the banana into circles, then halves. Then slice the mangoes into small bite sized cubes and slice the green grapes.
- Fill a big bowl with ice and add all the fruits, add the tapioca pearls, and then add in all the milks. Mix well.
- Serve in tall glasses with spoons. Enjoy fruit sago!

Notes
- Cook tapioca per package instructions, rinse in cold water, and allow to cool while prepping the remaining ingredients. You can add a little simple syrup or milk to the cooked pearls so they don’t stick.
- Be sure to consume this drink right away. It is not good to leave it out for an extended time. Best to combine and serve right away.
- If you want to serve this to a group on the dessert table, you can have the milk in a carafe over ice, and the fruit and ice in separate bowls. Have some tall glasses out and people can mix their own fruit sago drinks.
Add Ins and Variations
- For added texture, you can also include nata de coco, ai yu jelly, buko shreds, or grass jelly as additional toppings for your fruit sago.
- Experiment with different combinations of fresh fruits for variety and seasonal flavor. I love honeydew drinks and melon sago so you can always add melon to the mixture.
- Adjust the sweetness level by adding more or less condensed milk based on personal preference. Make it vegan with coconut condensed milk.

How to Serve Fruit Sago
- To enhance the visual appeal, consider using tall, dessert glasses for a group.
- If serving at a gathering that is ready to try this masterpiece, consider preparing a larger batch in a punchbowl.
- Add a few edible flowers as garnish or watermelon slice on the side of the glass.

Questions
Can I store leftovers?
Only store leftovers if the ingredients are separated, or make the leftovers into popsicles.
Can I make this beforehand?
You can certainly cut the fruit and have everything prepped beforehand. Do not mix everything until ready to serve.
Can I use fruit cocktail?
Yes definitely! Please note it will not taste the same as with fresh fruits, but will still be yummy. I enjoy the fruit cocktail with light syrup and added nata de coco as an option.
