Ingredients

  • 3 ripe mangoes peeled and chopped
  • 5 cups water
  • 4 tea bags black tea or green tea; optional jasmine tea for fragrance
  • 3 tablespoons honey or agave syrup adjust to taste
  • Juice of 1 lime optional
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint for garnish

Optional Add-Ins & Bubble Tea Variations:

  • Tapioca pearls boba – homemade or store-bought, but be sure you know how to properly and perfectly cook tapioca pearls.
  • Mango jelly cubes
  • Jasmine tea jelly cubes
  • Coconut or condensed milk for creamy mango tea

Instructions

Brew the Tea

  • Boil water.
    Add tea bags and steep 5–7 minutes (black, green, or jasmine tea).
    Remove tea bags and allow tea to cool.
    5 cups water, 4 tea bags

Prepare Mango Puree

  • Blend mango with 1/4 cup of tea until smooth.
    3 ripe mangoes

Sweeten & Combine

  • Stir honey or agave into slightly warm tea.
    Mix in mango puree.
    Add lime juice if desired.
    3 tablespoons honey or agave syrup, Juice of 1 lime

Prepare Optional Add-Ins

  • Tapioca pearls: Cook according to package or homemade recipe.
    Mango or jasmine jelly: Cube and prepare for layering in the glass.
    Creamy twist: Add a splash of coconut or condensed milk.

Serve & Garnish

  • Layer mango puree, tapioca pearls, boba, or jelly at the bottom of the glass.
    Add lots of ice and pour in mango iced tea. Garnish with mint and mango pieces.
