So sarap! That means finger lickin’ good Air Fryer wings that are perfectly sauced, quick, and easy to make with Filipino chicken adobo flavor. This is such a simple party wing recipe that is little effort, but showcases flavorful finger-food you’ll want to share (or maybe not, so make extra).

If you haven’t heard, chicken adobo is one of the representative dishes of the Philippines. With good reason too!
Its rich and tangy flavor, balanced with all the elements of salty, sweet, fat, and acid, is so addicting you’ll be sure to reach for second helpings.
Chicken adobo is comfort food. It’s home. It’s childhood memories of flavors that will never leave these tastebuds. For a lot of people, it’s not just a seasoning, it’s a feeling and proudness and something that I think needs to stay the way it is, mostly.
While I’m not as keen to veering too far away from classic adobo flavor, there are a lot of ways this easy combination of ingredients can be incorporated into other types of meals, and it should be. It’s still distinctively Filipino, and it’s really good. …Really good.

What and why Air Fryer Chicken Adobo Wings
While chicken adobo is usually braised and with lots of sauce, this chicken wings adobo version incorporates the main flavors and packs in all into one bite size appetizer.
Chicken adobo is a very homey and warm comfort food with lots of sauce and you eat it with rice…but chicken adobo sticky wings? Well, that’s a party! It can easily be shared and transported. You can have it on a food table (it won’t last long) and it can sit pretty and taste great for a while longer.
I like this a lot. Why? Because now, the flavor of chicken adobo can go further by being able to share it at gatherings, with work friends, a potluck, etc.
You can also make this at home for a quick meal and not have to wait as long for cooking to complete or have to make rice. Sometimes, this is a go-to for quick and easy comfort food, as we all could use a little bit of that.
Ingredients
Marinating is key. This imparts the flavor and moisture into the chicken wings.

Marinade
- Low Sodium Soy Sauce – low sodium so the wings don’t become overly salty
- White Vinegar – adds the zest
- Brown Sugar – helps caramelizing
- Bay Leaves – aromatic and mandatory for Filipino adobo
- Peppercorn – Whole gives a smoother result to the wings. You can use fine ground black pepper as well.
Chicken Wings – choose small, bite size party wings which can be found at your Asian groceries or sometimes it’s labeled as “party wings” in the poultry section. This recipe is specific for bone in party wings.
