What is Good about Orange Mango Smoothie
- This is a vegan recipe! It’s on the healthier side for a sweet treat and completely natural.
- Kid-Friendly
- Versatile to make thick for a bowl topped with fruit and nuts.
- Jammed with flavor, and Vitamin C
- Easily add protein powder, spinach, green powder, chia seeds, and other fruits as you wish.

Ingredients
Coconut Milk – Use regular for best, creamiest results. Use coconut cream for extra creamy. Use lite coconut milk for lesser calories and less creamy.
Orange Juice – 100% orange juice with or without pulp
Frozen Banana – Use one frozen banana that had a lot of brown spots which means it’s very sweet. If you have a very ripe banana that isn’t frozen, then pop it in the freezer until it is frozen. Frozen banana makes this smoothie sweet and gives it a nice icy and creamy texture. In addition, the banana flavor is more mild when it has been completely frozen.
Frozen Mango – Gives the smoothie the perfect consistency without having to add ice to the blend.

Equipment
High Power Blender – I like the brand Nutribullet for blending smoothies. I use mine everyday, literally I make smoothies daily, and I have had mine for years. I recommend a very good blender in order to get that cafe-quality smoothie and ensure all the frozen fruit gets perfectly blended.

How to Make Orange Mango Smoothie
- Add the frozen banana, frozen mango, orange juice, and coconut milk into a high power blender.
- Pulse and then blend until completely smooth. Add a touch of orange juice if your smoothie is too thick.
- Serve in a glass with a straw or spoon and if you like, add additional toppings. Enjoy!

Questions
Can I use milk?
You can use your milk of choice, but I do not recommend regular dairy milk with citrus and mango because of the protein reaction between the fruit and the dairy. Oat milk, nut milks, and coconut milk are good choices to pair with citrus fruits.
Is this healthy?
There is no added sugar and it’s all natural. Enjoy in moderation because it is still a sweet smoothie.
Can I use saba or plantain bananas?
No. Regular commercial bananas are the most sweet and will add to the flavor of your smoothie. Saba and plantains are best enjoyed in cooked desserts that bring out their sweetness, otherwise, when raw they are not very sweet.
Can I make this smoothie into popsicle?
Yes! This recipe makes a yummy frozen dessert. I recommend coconut cream instead of coconut milk for a creamier popsicle.
