Honey Miso Salmon in 20 Minutes

Miso, honey, and a touch of soy make the most simple, tongue-hugging glaze for the easiest and fastest oven baked salmon recipe.

Equipment

  • Dutch oven or cast iron pan

Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon filet
  • ¾ tbsp avocado oil

Salmon Rub

  • 2 tbsp miso paste
  • tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp low sodium soy sauce

Garnish for Miso Salmon

  • scallions thin sliced
  • black and white toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 400 F.
    Mix the miso paste, honey, and soy sauce till smooth. Rub the paste all over the top and sides of a clean and dry salmon filet.
    2 tbsp miso paste, 1½ tbsp honey, 1 tsp low sodium soy sauce
  • Oil the Dutch oven or cast iron pan. Place the salmon in the pan and put in the oven, middle rack, uncovered. Bake for 8-9 minutes adding a little time if the filet is very thick.
    ¾ tbsp avocado oil, 1 lb salmon filet
  • Change oven setting to broil. Broil for last 2-3 minutes.
  • Pull the pan out and let the salmon rest for several minutes. The oils should be sizzling.
    After few minutes, garnish generously with scallions and black & white toasted sesame seeds. Serve and enjoy!
