Ingredients

The Base:

  • 6 cups popped popcorn store-bought like Hippop or Boom Chicka Pop or freshly popped

The Spicy-Sweet Drizzle:

  • 1 tbsp hot honey store-bought or DIY: mix honey + crushed Thai red bird’s eye chili
  • 1 tbsp Trader Joe’s Crunchy Chili Oil or Chili Oil of choice adds smoky, garlicky heat + crispy chili flakes!
  • 2 tsp Sriracha

OPTIONAL

  • 1 Pinch of sea salt optional for unsalted popcorn
  • melted butter drizzle
  • sesame seeds
  • furikake

Instructions

  • Prep Your Popcorn: If using bagged popcorn, just pour it into a big bowl. If making fresh, pop your kernels and then put them in the bowl.
    6 cups popped popcorn
  • Make the hot honey (if not using store bought): crush some Thai red bird's eye chilis in a mortar and pestle, then mix with honey in a small bowl.
    1 tbsp hot honey
  • Drizzle & Toss: Drizzle the hot honey mixture, sriracha, and chili oil all over the popcorn. Toss well with the spatula.
    1 tbsp Trader Joe’s Crunchy Chili Oil or Chili Oil of choice, 2 tsp Sriracha
  • Final Touch: Sprinkle with any more toppings you wish!
    Enjoy! Serve immediately.
